Great Barn Find

I've been talking to the owner of this car for 25 years about buying it.  I finally got to see it yesterday. It was parked here 10 years ago in perfect, all original condition. It has not been touched or started since. Part of the fallout from a divorce battle, the "high-end" antique dealer owner, lost interest in it, and "didn't even want to look at it" again.  All original paint, all 5 original tires, all original interior, etc.  All original Books & tools, original accessories box. This is a very late production US car with air and power windows. The chassis is perfect nicely oiled, and completely free from rust or accidents.

The lower parts of the body below the bumpers and around the wheel wells are remarkably free from rock chips and all the lower black trim paint is original and in amazing new condition. The chrome will polish with just the right amount of proper patina. Doors, hood, trunk, gas cap door, all open and close perfectly, to original factory fit. The interior still smells new.

The first owner picked it up from Chinetti Garthwaite Imports in Paoli, Pa. 05.27.1974 and still owns it today. 8502 original miles. A 2 inch scratch is on the lower passengers front fender, and other than that, the paint is perfect. The leather seats, door panels, and headliner are all in perfect condition. The original dash retains its perfect shape, and would probably clean up as new. The wiring is loose under the dash, and threshold carpet is loose from the removal of a radio that was aftermarket item, but with no installation damage, not even a screw hole placed in the console, as it was only "laid in" the factory-delete radio compartment in the console. The tool roll and tools are as new, just dusty.

With a very careful, professional detailing and mechanical service, and some new rubber seals(some are fine, some have dried and cracked) and the new owner will have probably the best, most original Daytona in the world.
